The Study Team

Growing Up in Ireland is being carried out by a consortium of researchers led by the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) and Trinity College Dublin. This is the Study Team.

At the head of the Study Team are co-directors Professor James Williams, Research Professor, ESRI, and Professor Sheila Greene, AIB Professor of Childhood Research and Director of the Children’s Research Centre at Trinity College Dublin. Professor James Williams is the Principal Investigator.

Professors Williams and Greene are members of a five person Project Management Team, also including Professor Tom O’Dowd, Professor Richard Layte, and Professor Mona O'Moore. All members of the management team are Theme Directors. Seven Research Fellows, a communications officer, operations manager and administrator make up the Study Team.

In addition a panel of 45 experts, drawn from academic and research institutions from Ireland, Britain and Sweden, provide advice and input into the study.
